Just connect your phone to XS++, it will ask you whether you want to upgrade the CID or not.
I will look up the script for you if XS++ doesn't let you upgrade the CID automatically.

Hello,

First of all, I would like to say that I am not very familiar with unlocking or patching, so, although I am seeking help and advice to unlock my phone, I am not too sure how to go about it. Therefore any assistance/help would be greatly appreciated.

I have bought my Sony (Cybershot) Ericsson K800i (with O2) about a year ago, and I now would like to unlock it so that I may use it with 3 instead. Is there any possibility of unlocking it myself, with some guidance?

I would also like to know, how can I tell whether my phone is a CID52 or 53?

I should be immensely grateful for any help.
