Default Basic knowledge about SE Tool lite - GDFS/Flashing/DB2010 Patching

Backing up the GDFS:

1. "Phone Type" - Choose your phone model here before you start.
If you have a DB2020 phone you can choose any other DB2020 phone from the dropdown list.
So don't worry if you've got a K770 and can't find it in the list

2. "Read GDFS"
SE Tool lite will create a backup of your GDFS.
It will be stored in the SE Tool main folder.
"gdfs_[your IMEI].bin"

Restoring the GDFS:

3. "..."
Select your GDFS backup which you created earlier.
NOTE: Your phone won't work if you flash any GDFS which is not your own backup!!

4. "Write GDFS"
Are you sure that you've selected the correct GDFS file?
If you are: go for it

Default Patching DB2010 CID49 phones

Basics for patching DB2010 CID49 phones:

1. "Identify"
Press the identify to get the output in the log box

2. Rest files
Check if you get the message "RESTORATION FILE PRESENT FOR DETECTED FIRMWARE"
Your phone won't start if you patch it without having the correct rest files available!

Get your rest files here: All REST files here

3. Firmware version

Check if the patch was created for your phone and for the firmware version that you've got
installed on your phone. Patches are firmware dependant!
Example: You can't use a patch which was written for R1CA021 on a phone which has R1DB001
firmware installed. You will have to find a patch for your firmware version or flash the phone
to the other firmware version.

4. "Write SCRIPT"

Have you checked points 1-3? Alright, let's start.

You will be asked to disconnect the phone, reinsert the battery and reconnect the phone.
Later you will be asked whether the patch should be applied or removed:
Click NO to apply the patch
Click YES if you want to remove the patch
